What Partner visa should I apply for?

Different types of visa is available depending on the location of the visa applicant and his/her relationship with the Australian citizen/ permanent resident or New Zealand citizen.

Outside Australia
If you are outside Australia, you can either apply for a Fiancee visa  or a Partner visa which are provisional visas. After meeting certain criteria, you can then apply for a permanent Partner visa. Inside Australia
If you are inside Australia and have met conditions in your current visa, you can apply for a temporary and permanent visa at the same time. The permanent visa will be granted automatically upon complying with the conditions set on your provisional visa.
